Between Jarrod and I we have eachother, Mahna plus 13 family member we HAVE to get gifts for. Other than that I LOVE buying presents for my friends which (luckily?) I only have about 3 and I may not be able to afford gifts this year because of baby coming Dec 28 :( Christmas is my fave time of year, I love an excuse to give a present but I wonder now how this kiddo will be changing every Christmas from here on out
about 30 people.....Some get the same thing every year others I have to be creative.
In my mothers family, we used to buy for everyone. approx 80 gifts. I tried to do somekind of food and spend less then $5 each. One year I did a glass mug with 6 oreos and a tag that read "just add milk" it went over very well.
I'm about 1/2 done, but the good news is that the two boxes of gifts for the Rousseau clan is off to Maine today.....(17 days 'til NYC!!!)
EEEEK! I have only gotten SH(almost done) and my kids and my neice and nephew done. I've gotten a few things for some friends. We still have SH's family left to do and my brothers and SIL's. My older nephews just want money so that's easy. Oh and Jackie's teachers. Even though she's in HS, I always like to get them a little something. I'll most likely go out one day and get it all in one "fell swoop"! (I don't like to think in numbers of how many are left, etc. It's too overwhelming! LOL)

Ditto to PATR, though I am almost done with my lovely. Looking so forward to Christmas in NYC. Hope it snows like 10 Feet and we get stuck there through say February, though that might get a tad pricey in a hotel room in NYC.
Our family dropped the gift giving years ago (thank goodness). Now we send home made gifts to each other. I make the old family recipe pickles and relishes and fruitcake, my sis and her hubby make us smoked turkeys and meats (he's got his own shop...Oh, they are the best!), my other two db's fams send something different every year but the key is not to buy, but to give fromt he heart. My favorite was the year my nieces gave me a coupon books with "chores" they would do. Amongst the dog sitting, housecleaning, flower bed weeding was one for hugs and another offering to help me make and eat a batch of my cookies. I think I still have that coupon book in a scrapbook somewhere.
My local friends and I have made a pact. We set a date in January to get together and buy each other a day out at a museum and drinkies/dinner after. It ensures we spend time together after the hustle and bustle. It's one of my favorite traditions I missed last year due to family travails but which you can be sure I won't miss this year.
Other than that I send out home made stuff...cookies, fruitcake maybe a bottle of wine or 6...with a wish and prayer in each package.

Other than my immediate family (wife & stepson), I also get my brothers (3) and their families (8) gifts. Usually, this means gift cards.
I also give gifts to several of my business associates and the ladies who help me in my office. This year, baked goodies from The Baker Dude will handle this.
I still need to do all of my shopping

I just can't seem to get the spirit going this year ....
I am making most of my gifts for people ... but haven't even started putting them together ... I know what I want to do ... just been working on other things!!
I'm not sure that we will even do Christmas cards this year ...
I seem to be a bit hum-bug-ish, don't I?
