I can attest to that. Pat doesn't bake cookies. But as big a cookie fan as I am, I still love her.

Bakers trade bread recipes on a knead to know basis.

I make several "family favorites". Anise flavored 'candy cane' cookies, thumbprints but my very favorites are good old fashioned shortbread cookies with the same, simple recipe my Grandmother passed down.

My sister0in-law Liz makes the best "snowballs" - an almond cookie covered with powdered sugar - the BEST!!!

Alas, I do not have the recipe

Almond Crescent Cookies. My Mom used to make them. I'm trying to find a recipe that was like hers. I think she added a secret ingredient! I also liked the Peanut Butter cookies with Hershey Kiss. Those I know how to make and the best Chocolate Chip Cookies in the World! (Oh and Bourbon Balls! Yum!)

Bronco! I think we're talking about the same cookie! Sometimes my Mom would shape them into crescents and sometimes she would simply roll them into little snowball shapes! Hmmmmmm....

I'm with Bronco, my mother-in-law made them, and called them, and shaped them into oblongs and called them puppy dog tails. I make them for the kids...they are so bad they are luscious.

Missed ya'll lots, the wankers at school have cut off all access to blogs.

I love the Almond Crescent or Snowball cookies that Liz makes, too.

And I am fond of the thumbprint cookies with a dollap of frosting in the indentation.

Yum.
