Question #118

How do you feel about the move to the PC "Happy Holidays" vs "Merry Christmas"?

In some instances I agree with the whole PC thing, but in this instance, not so much. If I'm so insensitive that I cannot get who deserves a "Merry Christmas" as opposed to a "Happy Chanuka" or a "Happy Holidays", I shouldn't say anything.

It's a cliche' but Jesus is the reason for the season. CAse in point. I don't see any festivities going on for Yom Kippur, etc. So the phenonmenon of December and Christmas is just that. So It happens to coincide with Chanuka.

You see what has happened is liberals have turned this country into a bunch of pansied ass wimps. People are now regularly instructed to say their 'sorry' for anything perceived to be wrong, and if you doubt me, lets go to BJ's Brew Pub and I'll prove it too you. We're all about protecting other peoples feelings at the expense of our own. So much does this occur that it is noticeable on the persons' part when somebody doesn't pony up and say their sorry.

So what, get used too it. STOP being a push-over.

So the tie in is Christmas is Christmas, round the world. Get over it!

It is stupid - at least as far as making a Christmas Tree a "Holiday Tree".

Go get 'em Hugh! You are THE MAN!

Very simple. With out Christ you have no CHRISTmas. There is no such thing as a Holiday tree, Hannuka tree, or Quanza Tree. There would also be no gift giving or receiving nor the outpouring of additional generosity, sacrifice, and volunteering this time of year produces. Christ started it all.

Jesus is and always will be the reason for the whole season.

Happy Birthday Lord!!
Amen.

I don't really care. Although i don't walk around telling people happy holidays. I guess i doesn't bother me as much as other people.

I think the whole "PC" everything has gone WAY too far. I am personally getting fed up with it all. It is Merry Christmas ... it is a Christmas Tree .... and Christmas Carols of all kinds should be sung ....

This country was founded on Christian beliefs but it is open to all other beliefs, too. That doesn't mean we need to give up our roots. If people are not happy here ... go away!!

Without Jesus being born, living, and dying for our sins we would not be able to spend eternity in Heaven. So CHRISTmas is and will always be Merry CHRISTmas to me and my family. Please don't let anyone take your right to love God away from you by making you say Happy Holidays. God Bless All!
