It has made it much easier to keep in contact with my friends and family, and . . .

It keeps my wife occupied so I do not have to entertain her constantly.

LIKE BRONC SAYS........EASIER TO
TYPE OUT A NOTE THAN FIND PEN,PAPER
ENVELOPE,STAMP ETC, NOW THERE IS SOME COMMUNICATION, THE OLDEN DAYS
IT WAS MAYBE ONCE IN THE SUMMER TIME. BUT THE MAIN THING IS ALL THE SURFING, YES BLOGS TOO. IF IT
WASN'T FOR THE COMPU I WOULD BE FORCED TO STARE AT THE WALL ALL DAY, OR COUNT SNOWFLAKES THIS TIME OF YEAR OR WATCH THE GRASS GROW IN THE SUMMERTIME. IF THAT ISN'T ENOUGH,
FIND NEW STUFF ON THE COMPU,
LIKE HOW DID CIN GET THAT SNOW MAN
OFF OF AN E-MAIL AND STICK IT ON A
BLOG. PITY ANYONE WHO ISN'T OLD ENOUGH TO JUST PLAY ALL DAY!!!!!!
GO TO THE STORE AND GET A DESK
CALENDAR WITH A NEW URL ON EVERYDAY.
CHECKOUT..LOC.GOV/EXHIBITS/EMPIRE/
THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS HAS A LOT OF PHOTOS BY A RUSSIAN THAT WENT
ALL OVER RUSSIA. WHAT A COUNTRY!!!

I've reconnected with old friends, "talk" to relatives, shop (OMG), play games I've never considered.

Welllll .... let's see ... I met Tom on the internet and I am pretty sure our paths would NOT have crossed without it ... I am keeping in touch with family and friends (even though they rarely respond) a lot more than I would be without it ... building my webpage was great therapy and probably saved me thousands of dollars in psychiatric treatments ... I have a whole support group of like minded women, most of whom I have never met but whom I consider among my dearest friends ... I love my blogs ... I love the internet and my computer ....

It was a lifeline for me, litterally. I got to connect and develop wonderful friendships with some pretty fantastic people. And now that my son is living away from home, we're able to keep in contact more often without worrying about the phone bill. It does have it's drawbacks though. When my computer crashed and died this summer, I realized how much of my "life" was stored on my computer! I have since learned the value of "backing up" and downloading precious pictures to DVD's!
