Question #129

What is the worst job you have ever held?

How old were you then? What made it so bad??

When I was 15 - in West Texas - I had a summer job painting coal oil on the base of mesquite trees. This kills the trees and is one way to clear a pasture.

The coal oil smells really bad, and carrying a bucket of it around a pasture in the summer in Texas is not exactly a lot of fun.

Worst and best working at a high school in California.

Best because of the kids...worst because of the violence and the administration. Whew moronic!
2500 plus students.

One summer I worked for my Dad at his car Dealership just helping out in the office doing some filing, etc. I was about 14, I think. I'd rather not go into the reasons why I stopped going in. Suffice it to say, it was bad.

ACTUALLY THERE IS NO 'WORST' JOB,
THEY ARE ALL JUST WHAT YOU MAKE THEM. IF THE JOB "WON'T GET GOOD"
WALK DOWN THE STREET AND DO THE ONE YOU LIKE.

I can't really say I've had a worst job. I worked in the boys' department in the PX, I sold boys' clothes at Sears (not great, but not bad), I worked at a lab, in a bank and I've taught. I've loved teaching.
