There are so many scents that bring pleasant memories...the smell of a baby's head first thing in the morning, the smell of coming rain, brownies in the oven, Red. The one I like the best is the beach. It makes me feel free.
Most of my favorite scents evoke a pleasant memory - such as pipe tobacco makes me think of my Dad.
For pure pleasure - the scent of my wife's hair (a combo of her natural scent and her shampoo) makes me weak in the knees.
Food
Many. Whenever I smell Estee Lauder's "Youth Dew", I am transported back in time to a little girl watching her Mommy getting dressed up for a "night on the town" (mink stole and all) and the final touch was "Youth Dew" dabbed behind the ears, on the neck and at wrists. I can also remeber the smell of my "babies"...pure and innocent and uniquely their own. When I hug my hubby, that space in the crook of his neck-"Antaeus" and him.I'm a closet perfume junkie so I like lots of different perfumes and many of them remind me of different moments in life. Oh and Lilacs and Honeysuckle and Fresh Mint. Sheets fresh off the line and towels just out of the dryer! I guess I'm very "olfactory oriented". LOL
BRAND NEW MONEY..... RIGHT OUT OF
THE BANK VAULT
vanilla
I like Vanilla ... it relaxes me.
But like the rest of you ... certain scents trigger wonderful memories and sensations ...
Freshly mown grass ... line dried sheets ... rain .... Old Spice (smells like my Dad) ... a new book ... I could go on and on ...
