Question #152

Right now I hear a Mourning Dove calling from the roof of the house next door. What birdsongs do you recognize?

Okay .... I recognize the Mourning Dove, obviously ...

Cardinal
Blue Jay
Killdeer
Quail (Bobwhite)
Mockingbird (although they can sound like anything, including car alarms and cats and bedside alarm clocks)

Ducks and Geese
Owls of various types
Grackles (nasty birds)
Crows

I recognize Robins and Finches and Martins and Sparrows and Wrens when I see them, but not sure of their calls ...

Domestic Birds: Parakeet, Love Birds, Cockatiels and I had a Dwarf Parrott once that talked up a storm!
