Mourning Dove, whiporwill, blue jays, grackel, mockingbird, house finch, meadowlark, wren, robbin, that's about it.
mockingbirds - 'casue they can "mock" most other birds, quail, jays & not much else.
Okay .... I recognize the Mourning Dove, obviously ...
Cardinal
Blue Jay
Killdeer
Quail (Bobwhite)
Mockingbird (although they can sound like anything, including car alarms and cats and bedside alarm clocks)
Ducks and Geese
Owls of various types
Grackles (nasty birds)
Crows
I recognize Robins and Finches and Martins and Sparrows and Wrens when I see them, but not sure of their calls ...
Mourning Dove, Whiporwill, Quail, Killdeer, Grackles, Blue Jay, Robin,Finches,Owls, Cardinal, Ducks, Geese. (Does Screeming Banshee count? Guess that's not really a bird...just my hormonal 17 yr old daughter!)
Domestic Birds: Parakeet, Love Birds, Cockatiels and I had a Dwarf Parrott once that talked up a storm!
A HEN RIGHT AFTER SHE LAID AN EGG
AND A ROOSTER THAT LETS OUT A CACKLE THAT TRANSLATES TO "THIS
OUGHTA' BE A GOOD TIME" TO TAKE THAT OL' HEN.
