Are you planning to give up anything for LENT?
If so, what?
P.S. Lent starts tomorrow ....

I am going to give up beer and golf - at least at the same time.
One Lent I went to a different church than usual. Yes, Bronco, I do go to church occasionally. Anyway, the sermon on Ash Wednesday was about sacrifice. However, the sacrifice that was mentioned was not giving up anything. It was about giving. About giving outside our comfort zone. Doing something different than usual like volunteering to read to someone or being nice to someone you don't really like. The point is to sacrifice our comfort to do good rather than "give up" favorite things that we will just go back to after 40 days and 40 nights. The hope is that we become more Christ-like. That we learn to give more of ourselves to others.
This process has worked for me in the past, so I'll try it again this year.
I did Lent way too much as a kid to even want to think about it now. I don't think I'll give up meat on Fridays, how did that start anyway?
NOPE, THE ONLY THINGS I HAVE LEFT
ARE ACHES AND PAINS AND STUFF THAT
WONT WORK ANYMO'.
BRONC THAT TOTSIE KID SURE MADE YOU PAY FOR GOING FIRST ON THIS THING, PARTICULARLY THE QUALIFIER
YOU PUT AT THE END.
