My wife would say I like only "Documentaries, Documentaries, Documentaries", but I like good drama, spy thrillers, suspense, war movies, comedies, science fiction, musicals and of course documentaries.
Always prefer the theatre over renting or pay-per-view. Unless you can truly afford to build your own movie theatre at home and I don't mean home theatre, nothing will ever top going to the movies for me. The popcorn, the candy and the big screen.
Comedy, Romance, animated and Sci-Fi. I don't like war movies, hate the ones where an importatant character dies, and do not like ones that strike too close to reality. For example, I will NEVER watch Arlington Road again..... I do highly recomend that EVERY adult watch it once, but it was just too frightening for me. None of the 'horror' movies I have seen gave me nightmares like that one did.
I prefer going to the movies, but there are not many movies that I want to see at their prices…..
THE STUFF ON PBSTV UNLESS IT IS HOLLYWOOD CRAP.
NEITHER/NONE/NOT
all sorts...comedies, musicals, dramas, thrillers...but detest movies with gratuitous violence, foul language and other bits which have nothing to do with entertainment. I want to be entertained, not watch a movie for shock value.
Going to see Flags of our Father's this weekend...at the theatre. I like going to the theatre, but usually watch movies at home if they are on. Occassional pay per view.
Love going to the picture show. Like all kinds of movies: comedy, slapstick, drama, thriller, sports (eeek), horror, fantasy, etc.
I am a sucker for romantic comedies - always have been, always will be.
I rarley go to the theater these days -no particular reason why, although it is expensive and most of the movies out there are not worth spending the $ on - so we mostly rent them now, which is OK as we have the big TV, and can hit pause for the bathroon break, etc.
I actually like all different kinds of movies .... and I am a fan of watching them at home ... comfy chair ... pause button ... microwave popcorn ... BEER or WINE .... life is good!!
I pretty much prefer all types of movies but my favorites are the Romantic Comedies as well. I also like action packed Sci-Fi with good Special Effects("X-Men" and "Fantastic Four", and "The Matrix")...Phychological Thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat and "good" war movies,(I know,it's an oxymoron )"Saving Private Ryan", "When We Were Soldiers","Pear Harbor", "Brave Heart",etc., and even good animated movies like "Finding Nemo","The Incredibles", "Toy Story", "Shrek",etc.
I don't mind going out to the theater for a movie that looks great and I know it will be a long time before it becomes available on DVD or PayPerView ("Flags of Our Fathers","The Queen","Day After Tomorrow", and even sat through the long movie "Titanic")I hate spending $ on what appears to be good Other than that, sitting at home, with a Pause and Rewind button, etc.,is the best way to go.
patr: I agree that "Arlington Road" was one scarey movie. For my current situation, with a son gearing up for a run at the Olympics in Beijing, I won't watch "Munich". Hits too close to home right now.
i like action packed videos i would like to go to the theater tehn buy it if i like it
