Question #144

If you have a friend who thinks he or she can sing (and you think they are REALLY awful) ... they want to go on AMERICAN IDOL and try out ... would you tell them what you really think?

YES!! I would want to spare my friend the humiliation of being made a fool of on TV.

It is one thing to have a few pops and sing karaoke (badly)in a bar, it is another to go on national TV and sing badly - especially if you think you can sing well.

I agree with Bronco. Even the best miss a key now and then, but I would try to protect my friend. National exposure to not being "all that" would be devistating to me, and I would not want that for someone for whom I care.

WHAT IS "AMERICAN IDOL"??????
SOMETHING LIKE MAJOR BOWES AMATURE
HOUR OF A COUPLE YEARS AGO???????
LET THEM SING [MAYBE YOUR THE ONE
THAT IS WRONG]. IF THEY FLOP YOU
ALWAYS HAVE A HEE HEE WHEN YOU SEE
THEM, AND EVEN THAT WOULD GET OLD.
SUPPOSE HE/SHE TURNS OUT GOOD AND
BECOMES A MILLIONAIRE AND LAFFS
LIKE A HYENA EVERY TIME HE/SHE SEES
YOU. HEE HEE
