Well, I'm wearing orange and black so I guess that is 'participating'. PEF & I are handing out microwave popcorn, animal crackers and mini-jars of Play-doh.
Yeah what my wife said....
No - I don't participate in Halloween.
I have to go teach my 6th and 7th graders today .... so I will wear my BRONCOS jersey ... a token costume kinda ...
Tonight I am tutoring ... which means the lights will have to be on ... which means people will come to the door ... which means Robbie and Tom will hand out candy ...
So .... we are participating ... but not wholeheartedly ...
I have a class tonight (stained glass), my attempt at being artistic where i get to cut things, grind things, and solder things.
So, I will not be available to hand out candy to worthless little brats who will ring the door bell in their stupid costumes!!
Only kidding. I had planned to wear a costume and sit in a chair on the front porch with a bowl of candy in my lap and a sign that said "Take Only 2, Please", and then scare the crap out of the little gluttons who took more than their fair share (which I assume would be all of them), but alas, I cannot.
Well...since I totally flubbed yesterdays question, this one looks easy enough! Does helping your daughter get into her costume for Senior Costume Day at the crack of O'dark thirty count as participating? I probably won't be dressing up other than my Jack O' Lantern earrings and necklace (some items I acquired over the years from teaching at Pre-School and being a Home Room Mom) LOL
We don't have many kids out here and no sidewalks so we don't usually get Trick Or Treaters. They usually go off to neighborhoods. But when I say that, it never fails and some will show up so I'll have a bag of candy just in case! Patr's house sounds like a fun place to get treats! LOL Better watch out Hugh...you might get "egged"! LOL
Aw CinCin...halfheartedly is better than nothing! You are, after all, wearing a "token costume kinda..." LOL
Bronco...you crack me up! My husband did that one year when we lived in a different neighborhood! Only he didn't scare the crap out of them! They just laughed! (Tougher crowd, I guess!) LOL Oh and he only did it to the older ones!
I carved a pumpkin for a friend and live where no one trick or treats so I think I'll dress up as a commercial floor covering sales rep and face the day!
No kids come here cos we live on a steep hill and their parents are lazy!
We'll go see 2 of the littles at their pre-school costume parade and then vsit with the other 2 at their house this evening, where we'll hand out candy while their Mom and Dad take them round the neighborhood..Fun!
NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i never do
