Yikes ... I am afraid I might have to pull a PEF and give more than one answer here ... but I shall try to resist.

Honesty is pretty important ... catch a friend in a lie and that trust begins to falter. However, white lies are sometimes required to mantain a comfortable friendship ... but when the topic is really important, honesty is your best option.

Well since I am in my narcistic phase.... they have to think I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread. Yeah, that should cover it.

Common Sense, Intelligence and Competency. I don't suffer fools very well.....And I think ALL of my friends have these traits!

Loyalty. A friend is a friend even if you don't always deserve it.

I think, for me, it is assuming the best possible intention.

Always, a true friend, will assume that you act with the best intention.

I used to think Sanity was over-rated. But lately here, I think sanity is an important quailty for a friend to have.

Trust - from there everything else builds upon that foundation.
