Only when I was studying Russian at the Defense Language Institute when I was in the Navy. Like good Comrades, we marched around the class room in review and sang patriotic Russian anthems and they had a small parade of Soviet Military Equipment roll by....

Sorry little Bolshevic flashback there....

Nothing, never, no way.

Unless you count dancing naked at midnight around that may pole when I was in college. There was this girl with rather strange fantasies . . . but who was I to argue?

So PEF is a commie and RantMaster is a pervert ... such friends I have ...

To make MayDay 2007 even more intersting, there will be a Full Moon tonight .... an extra good reason to have a big bonfire and dance naked in the moonlight around a MayPole ....

Beware places of cosmic energy ... touch a standing stone and instantly find yourself 200 years ago ... or 200 years ahead ... or turned into a frog ...

Actually, in elementary school we used to weave May Baskets out of colored construction paper strips ... and then filled them with flowers and candy and nice notes and hang them on doorknobs, knock, and run ....

I did this while in College, too ... for the girls on my floor when I was an RA.

I love MayDay!!

In elementary school one year we did dance around a may pole, but some redneck parent complained that his son was not to participate in those 'sissy' things, so the school had to apologize and we never did that again.

I'm not sure if we will do anything special for May Day this year...but I'll keep those binoculars handy for tonight....

Weaving construction paper baskets? What do you think RantMaster? I am thinking dancing around the Maypole with a hot coed just doesn't sound as intriguing after basketweaving. (Smiles)

Yes - The standard school stuff on the lines of what Cindy said. When I lived in Germany we celebrated May Day, which for the germans was Labor Day for all practical purposes.
