Is Texas a distant country?

I say YES ... I would move to a distant country for love. However ... I would prefer that it be an English speaking country. Texas, Scotland, Ireland, Australia ... all would be fine with me!

Let's go Tom!!

I would and I did. This is a distant country. Texas counts.

Before I had grandkids and before several marriages I would have said yes. Now, I say no way! I"m not going anywhere for any man.

I would have and did in my first marriage. I am at a point now in my life that I would like to be closer to my family.

In this day and age, it is tough to seriously consider this question as it is easy to hop a plane, directly chat, or phone someone near and dear. But if the cirucmstances were right and it was my destiny, my loved ones would cheer me on. My dearest remain dearest regardless of the frequency of our meetings...

Depends on how long I'd be gone. Did spend a year away (Vietnam) with former husband, but that was really because of my country since I volunteered for Vietnam before I met him. It just happened that I didn't get the assignment until I was married. So I guess that doesn't really count. Hard to tell what I'd do now since I have kids and a granddaughter.

Hi, cin. I looked at that question for a long time and decided that love and lovers come and go, some family members I would never be in touch with if we weren’t related, but friends…especially women friends….are in for the long haul. I’ll wish him well in his new digs, but I’m sticking with the girls!!!!!!

Well, isn't that an interesting question? If the distant land has a beach and wireless internet, I think I could be in...I've waited 34 years for the perfect man for me, I don't think I'll care where he is. cincin...you'll send me tortillas, right?

Oh Wow! That's tough! 25 years ago, I was more connected with my siblings and my Dad was still alive and I had a lot of friends, so it would have been a difficult decision but yes I would have. Today, after being married for 25 years and having 2 children at that "in between" age (not yet grown up, not quite children anymore), and hardly any "skin" friends left, both parents gone on both sides (which caused some "fracturing" with the siblings on both sides), STILL a tough Question! Why do you do this Cin? LOL I suppose if we could bring the kids with us ....LOL But there are planes, trains, automobiles, internets, webcams, videos letters, etc. It would have to be for a REALLY BIG reason! But when I married him, I suppose that meant "In sickness, health, rich, poor, home or abroad" LOL

I AM READY TO GO NOW! I WOULD MISS MY MOM A LOT BUT AS LONG AS I COULD TALK TO HER THAT WOULD BE GOOD. I THINK IT WOULD MAKE OUR RELATIONSHIP STRONGER (ME AND JARROD'S) IF WE COULD GO OFF AND START OVER.
