I can't live without them.

I've got my house mined with telephones.

I've left my wallet at home numerous times. But I turned back home once because I forgot my cell phone (I was already half way to my destination)

I dunno... I just need to be communicated.

LOL...I think I was 'there' for that conversation...

Phones are a boon and a curse. For work and because I travel extensively, my cell phone is my life line. It is my connection to conduct business, but it is also my connection to hear the sound of the voices of my family and friends and to hear how their lives are.

But...at the same time, I can hate the phone...there are times when I turn the ringer off and I don't answer the phone..preferring to pick up the messages and return the calls at my leisure...I do not believe the phone needs to be plugged into my ear at all times, nor do I feel anyone should always be available. Our world is too accessible as it is.

Sometimes I long for the days of letter writing, when time would travel before responses could be made...when the time could soften emotions. Instant communication in any form is a blessing and a curse

A necessary evil. Sometimes I like to just let it ring.

But - my business requires that I be available, so there it is.

Ambivalent - love them - hate them. Need them - toss them.

Phones are my line to the outside world when in my "Bubble" and I love talking to my friends and family but hate the nusiance calls that I still get.

I enjoy my email correspondence with my friends the most. My "funny" friend. LOL

The National Registry to block sales calls did not work.

Funny, since I've married, I use the phone less...I live with the darned thing. My kids live by them. If I lost mine, my kids would buy me a new one and glue it to me. They loose theirs, and it's the end of the world.

I like having a cell phone to keep in touch briefly with family and friends ...

I do NOT like talking on the phone a lot ... I like using email to communicate ... that way people can read it when they want ... and think about it and respond when they want ... I always feel like I am interrupting people when I call them ... and putting them on the spot if I have to ask them something ...
