As I was sitting out on our deck yesterday reading a book I looked around me and felt a quiet joy ...

I had just finished planting some bulbs and fertilizing and watering everything ... the afternoon was warm, but NOT humid (I am so grateful for days like that) ... and it was a Sunday and I didn't have a million papers to grade (and I am SO grateful for that!)

I am also grateful for windchimes in a breeze, fountains by the pool, happy cats and happy birds, healthy and happy husband and son, cars that run and a nice home, friends and relatives who visit and make us laugh, my laptop and all my friends inside it, my new career .... and on and on ...

It is good to stop and take stock of such things ... and send a thought of thanks into the Universe ...

I am grateful for my life with a wonderful hubby and Angie the Mean Kittie.
They make my world complete and my "Bubble" bearable.
I am grateful that God loves us and gives the beautiful things to enjoy every day...my alligators?, the hawks, Herons, Sandhill Cranes and babies, birds, flowers, Palm Trees (sneeze), the baby cows in the field across Albert's Pond, the beautiful blue sky and fluffy clouds - all right outside my window.
The beautiful sandy beaches and the magnificent Gluf of Mexico that we love to cruise. This truly is paradise for us.

OMG! Gumdrop and I agree! LOL I am grateful for everything! To wake up breathing and have another day on this earth to spend with my family and friends, I am grateful. Even if the day had some snags or aches and pains, or hills to climb, at the end of the day, I can close my eyes knowing that I made it through another day, perhaps made someone, somewhere feel better, hopefully,I accomplished something and learned something new and can look forward to the next day. And God willing, I'll have that "next day" to correct any screw ups I made the day before. LOL
