The adjective HOT should never ever ever be linked to the noun Cereal. And I mean EVER!
The only known use for hot cereal is SPACKLE!
Oatmeal is better for me, and I do like the blade cut oatmeal as opposed to rolled oats; however, I LOVE cream of wheat. It should be lumpy with a bit of milk and lots of cinomon and sugar, preferrably searved to me as I sit on the couch under a blanket watching cartoons (can you tell it's been a while?).
Gumdrop: Yeah, the money issue is becoming serious, they guys with the bent noses are looking for you!!!
I had oatmeal for the 1st time in years this past weekend - it was good. I put a little margarine, some cinnamon and nutmeg, and some splenda - it was great.
PEF - you do not know what you are missing. It is great on a cold morning.
Not a fan of grits or cram of wheat.
Yes...
I like them fixed for me...
I like to put steel cut Irish oats and other whole grains, raisins, nuts, seeds, craisins, etc in a small slow cooker at night and then when I get up in the morning it's all ready for me to go...
I eat oats almost every morning in the winter. Got to have it in this arid cold climate I live in.
'BOUT 3-4 TIMES A YEAR WHEN IT IS
"COLD ENOUGH TO FREEZE A GOLD DIGGERS A-- IN THE KLONDIKE" I HAVE THE WAITRESS BRING ME SOME OATMEAL
[IT'S ALL THEY HAVE]. GRITS ARE UNKNOWN BY THE YOUNGER GENERATION,

REMEMBER GETTING A MOUTHFUL OF CHALKDUST WITH THEIR EGGS FOR BREAKFAST.
TOOT, WHY ARE THE JEWS LOOKING FOR ME??????? I DON'T GOTS MONEY.
I do not like oatmeal or cream of wheat. I love grits -- prefer them plain with butter. Now that I'm back on SBD, though, no grits for me. sigh.
I like oatmeal...especially with real butter and brown sugar (FYI: Cracker Barrel has some great steel cut oats) I also love grits and Cream of Wheat. (Very lumpy!)
That being said, anytime I have hot or cold cereal (only) for breakfast, an hour later I'm raiding the cupboards due to the carbohydrate drop. thus, I must have some eggs or other meat with my cereal.
