When you were growing up .... did you have "stockings hung by the chimney with care"? If so .... what kind of treats did you get in those stockings?
Did you believe in Santa ?? For how long??

I still believe in Santa - what is wrong with you to suggest that Santa is not real???
We definitely had stocking. We hung them buy the chimney (if we had a chimney), or the best equivalent.
When we wok up Christmas morning, the stockings would bew at the foot of our beds, stuffed with fruit, some candy, and small toys. The hope was that we would happily play with and eat these items and let our parents sleep in. It worked to some degree.
My parents also made us eat breakfast before we could open presents - and my Mom always made the stuff we likes the least.
Then, my Dad would pass out the presents one at a time (always saving all of his for the end).
It was excruciating and wonderful at the same time.
Yes we had stockings. Items were small but useful. I believed in Santa Claus until about 5 years of age. Verified that Santa Claus didn't exist by staying up one night and no jolly Saint Nick showed, however my parents did. I helped Dad with his broken arm, yeap, broken arm. He hid the presents at his office upstairs and took a nasty fall. Once he got home I could tell he was in distress. I used my CUB SCOUT skills to sling Dads arm, Mom helped too. He wasn't able to sleep and went to the emergency room and got it fixed on Christmas Day. Since I'm the oldest none of my siblings were the wiser. I didn't say a thing.
I had a stocking that my mother made. It was always filled with an apple, an orange, hershey miniatures, pecans, brazil nuts, filberts, almonds and a REAL COCONUT! As a tradition, PEF & I still have stockings...and there is on for George, Gracie, Mom & Dad. I also send stockings to Dan's sisters and the rest of the family.
And yes, I do.
I Believe!!!!
Yes .... we had stockings hung on the staircase from oldest to youngest. We always had our favorite gum, an apple, an orange, one of those Lifesavers Books, and little trinkets .... as we aged, Mom (Santa) put a nice piece of jewelry in the girls' stockings ... I got my Gold Hoop earrings and my rope-chain bracelet from "Santa".
Here in our home, the tradition continues with stockings hung on the staircase with care ...
Yes we always had stockings hung on the mantel with care! They were filled with small candies and dried fruits and nuts and the ever popular Lifesaver Book, Chap Stick, a new Toothbrush, trinkets, etc. The items changed as we grew.We continue the tradition today in our house. It's funny, the kids always go to the stockings last and sometimes they've held some significant gift and they were really surprised. It's fun to surprise them like that!
I don't remember the age I was when I realized that "Santa" was really my parents.
One year for Christmas my cousins all had things in their stocking and I didn't. I was probably around 8. I cried for hours. Since then my stocking is always filled. It must be Santa because I do not fill it and neither does Ash.
There is a Santa!!!!
We had stockings. They were filled with those littel tangerines, candy canes, puzzle books, new pencils, cayolas. Oh, yes, also a pair of slippers. Go figure; we never wore them beyond Christmas.
