Question #641

What is your biggest Health Concern right now? Have you had a DR. check it out? Have you gotten a 2nd opinion? What are you doing about it?

My butt hurts! Yep that's it! Actually its my tailbone but the former sounds better and quite frankly is more funny. No I haven't had a doctor look at it, I'd rather complain about it.

What will I do about it? Complain some more. Or maybe I'll choose someone to become the reason for the pain in my ass.

I think I'm starting Menopause. And at age 42. I have talked to the Dr and she want me to go see a specialist. I have been avoiding the subject, wishing it away.

Sorry guys of the QoD....as my co-worker has said "My gosh, just say your having Female issues! Don't say the "M" word!"

The 25 (okay 30) extra lbs that I'm carrying are all around my middle which means the risks for heart and bp problems are way higher than if I carried it on my butt. I don't like my doc much and I have some medical background, so I know what he'd say--I gotta lose it! I have started exercising more (tricky in a Canadian wnter)but I'm having less success in controlling my diet---I luv the bad stuff.

My weight is probably my biggest health concern ... and I am exercising and on a diet, kinda.

Yes ... been to the Dr. and he is very kind and sympathetic. I am feeling better since I started taking Iron supplements w/Vit C daily. Been doing that for about a month ... and it will take even longer to feel the effects I am told.

Otherwise I seem to be very healthy ... and I sure am grateful for that!

Pacific Fan!!! I just went though 7 yrs of the tailbone thing.

I had years of treatments and a barely helpful, surgery finally I figured out what needed done!
Last time I went to my doctor he was just as much at a loss as me. I suggested a steroid injection in my lowest disk space. It had wonderful results! In fact, I'm sitting on my butt tooo much now! I couldn't sit for 5 min's for 7 yrs.

Still dealing with Lyme but it's getting better. The Co-infections are probably going to kill me though! LOL Just had 13 tubes of blood drawn on Saturday to see if this "bronchitis/walking pneumonia" could be environmental or something. Still working on the diet! Other than that, I am as healthy as a horse! LOL

Hugh, my son has had his ACL repaired on one knee and his ACL, MCL repaired on the other knee. They were both complete tears. He still competes in Judo and is hoping to make the Olympic Team this year. Yes he's young but if you follow your Doc's orders and do the rehab religiously, you should have great results! Wishing you the best!

Yea for remission Erin. Sorry about the knee Hughy, I know that hurts. Wil keep you in my prayers.

Health concerns for me? Diabetes, hypertension, weight. All inter-related. At 52 hoping that the menopause sets in...I think I'm on my way... Sorry guys, she asked. Won't go into the gory details, but I do have two great docs...both a bit on the crazy side, but they're good for and to me, mother approved, and I like both. Been seeing the OB/GYN for about 12 years, and I know he's disappointed he will not deliver a baby for me, but hey, he doesn't have to raise it! My internist is great.
