I do play the Lottery, the Texas Lottery and the Megamillions, but I dont do the smaller numbers or the scratch-offs. I dont always play every week, though I am finding myself buying tickets more regularly recently.
Only on rare occassions when the PA State Lottery is up into the millions! LOL Once in a Blue Moon, hubby will buy some of those scratch off ones and I won $50.00 once!
My Dad,in his senior years, loved playing the Lottery! But I think he mostly enjoyed figuring out what he would do with the money if he won. He even kept a notebook and wrote down whose mortgage he would pay off first and which debts he would wipe out and where he would take us all on vacation! LOL
We have different lotteries up here, but I play Lotto 649 and Payday when I think of it---once every week or 2 or 3. I win free tickets once in a while and the most I won was a whole $87...wooo. I think rh is right--part of it is dreaming about what you'd do if you ever did win.
I don't play the Lottery.
We rarely play the Lottery. About the only time is when visiting with my brother and wife. Then it's a fun thing---we each have to list what we would do with the money!
PEF plays and if he wins, hopefully he will 'share'. Our big thing is that we forget to check if it is a winner. PEF won $7 last year and we just found out 3 days before it expired!
My parents play the Texas and Mega everytime it is drawn. Dad has 5 sets of numbers that he plays every time. It would be nice if he won, but I don't understand totally the way he wants to split it. 1/3 for him, 1/3 for Mom and then PEF & I get to split a 1/3....I rather like the 1/4 each thing.... :) but hey, if he wins, it's his to say how we purchased the ticket.
I rarely play. I have enough trouble remembering all the necessaries to be able to remember numbers and to stop twice a week for tix.
I do play the Mega-Millions and I megaply! I buy 3 weeks worth of tickets at a time .... and play 3 lines ... 2 sets are numbers of my choice and one set is Quick Pick always ...
The most I have ever won was $45. Tom has won $450. This year I am keeping track of how much I spend and how much I win because the losses are Tax-deductible!!
