Not only the strongest, but a whole bushel of memories are brought up by Debussy's Claire de Lune. My Dad was in France during WWII and he shared a lot of his memories. Needless to say this music brings back many memories of him that are not even associated with the war, just Dad.
This question is very difficult for me as music is so much of who I am and there are so many great songs. But if I had to pick one it would be any of the Chopin etudes that mother used to play. It brings back fond memories of her and of her incredible talent on the piano.
The ultimate heavy meatl song 'War Pigs' by Black Sabbath.
Next would be "In the days of my youth I learned what it means to be a man' by Led Zeppelin.
Get out your 8 tracks and turn it up.
Singin' in the rain - I was watching the movie the night my grandmother passed away.
Any Nat King Cole song.... PEF would sign these to me when we were dating.
Except that I was much better singer than I was a signer.....
