I try to do a pedicure at a salon every 2 to 4 weeks. And I am so due for one...I have very pretty snowmen on my big toes and I think it is time for a change.
I have tried keeping my fingernails neat, trimmed and polished, but it never lasts very long. I am nail biter to the Nth degree.
I get pedidures and manicures once or twice a month. I love the spa-chair pedicures and the place I go is very affordable.
I wore acrylic nails for years and years ... and LOVE them. My own nails are thin and weak and tear and get raggedy all the time. But the acrylics won't stay on anymore ... so I am trying to grow decent nails myself ... what a pain.
I much prefer short, well-kept nails. Easier to type on a computer or calculator with.
I like my wife love pedicures though I get my toenails buffed not painted. As for my finger nails, forget it, I bite them.
My nails are like confetti, all the craft glue and paper mache torment them. In the summer, it's the garden. Nails are not even on my schedule. I need filing at the moment.
The toes get done by me when my back lets me reach them. I keep them short.
Boy that is a personal question.
I try to get a pedicure once a month. I used to wear acrylic nails, but found them tedious. Now I keep my nails short and try to have a manicure as often as a pedicure.
I take care of my own nails, both hands and feet. I treated myself to a pedicure last week, but it's been at least 2 years since I did that. I do a pretty good job myself and my services are free :)
I keep my nails as long as I can. I used to bite my nails until I had exposed nail beds and they would bleed. Finally broke that nasty habit, so now I have healthy, long nails and work hard to keep them that way!
Cin: Get "Nail Envy" by OPI. You put it on every day for a week, take it off, then start over. Worked wonders for me when I finally stopped wearing acrylics and let my nails grow out. Mine were crackly and brittle too and now they're hard as nails!
The only time I ever had long and strong fingernails is the two times I was pregnant. At one time, before I had children, I did get acrylics, but it took a long time for my nails to recover from them. I don't chew them but they are weak and tend to split and peel.
I USUALLY GET A MANI/PEDI ABOUT EVERY 5-6 WEEKS. I TOO TRIED THE ACRYLICS...WHAT A BOTHER! I PREFER MY NAILS TO BE ON THE SHORTISH SIDE BUT NOT TOO SHORT!
I REALLY NEED A MANI/PEDI NOW! WITH THE WEATHER HERE IN NORCAL--THINK I'LL WAIT A WEEK!
