Grandmother on my Mom's side of the family arried 3 generations ago from Ireland.

I do not know the history of the other sides of the family other than:
Grandfather on Mom's - German
Grandmother on Dad's - Dutch
Grandfather on Dad's - German

But seeing as I am adopted - I must say I'm probably an American Mutt of some sort.... :)

Mom - My All German ancestors came through the port of New Orleans around 1900. They were dairy farmers near the 9th ward.

Grandma on Mom's side - Irish, came through Ellis Island, settled in New Orleans.

Dad - both sides, mixture of Scots, Irish, and French (Cajun) forced out of Nova Scotia to Louisiana by the British since they wished to remain Catholics. This occurred around the time of the American Revolution.

The Rousseau side of the family came to American from England some time around 1800. While our last name is French and we can trace our ancestry back to France, our family came by way of England which is why none of the family first names are French. We have Henry instead of Henri. The family came into the Virginia and then migrated into Georgia, eventually settling in Florida where I was born. I am 6th generation of the Rousseaus in Florida.

My mothers side of the family, the McMillans came over on the Mayflower and migrated westward from the Massachussets colony to New Moundsville, WV in the coal mining region along the Ohio River Valley south of Wheeling, WV. They eventually migrated up to Pittsburgh and settled in the Mt. Lebanon area of Pittsburgh. My mother was born in Beaver Falls, PA, aka the Cradle of Quarterbacks, home to Joe Willy Namath, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Johnny Unitas etc. which is thoroughly ironic because my mother hated football.
