I probably would. I guess it would depend on why they advised against it. I would take their advise under consideration, but if I felt what I wanted to do was the right thing for me to do, I'd do it anyway. I'm pretty stubborn that way.

If I had carefully made my decision I would listen to my friends and weigh their opnions, but would do as I thought best.

Actually, while most of you are reading this, I will be undergoing surgery on my left eye to replace my lens with an artificial lens ... most of my friends advised against this surgery .... but I hate hiding my eyes behind glasses ... and I want to have perfect vision ....!!

I'll do the right eye next week.

Wish me luck!!

good luck cindy! i know how thoroughly you researched this lens replacement, so i'm in full support...

and yes, if i think something my friends are directly opposed to is in my best interest, i'll do it anyway. of course, how often does that really happen? (moving to Austin was a decision no one in Nashville was happy with, but I did it anyway and it's turned out to be the best thing I could've done!)

keep us posted on the recovery!

If I had researched it and felt it was the right thing for me, I probably would go ahead with it. I value my friends' opinions and would take what they had to say into consideration, and of course if they had more knowledge on the subject, I would also weigh that in my decision.

Cin-Good luck sweetie! I had no idea! Of course you want to have perfect vision and you have gorgeous eyes! Keeping you in prayer! Keep me posted! Love You! IATCC!
