I went to graduate school in finance. I do not feel I needed to go any further.
Book knowledge, degrees, accumulation of facts, are useless unless you have been given the wisdom to apply.
I did some graduate work in Math ... but didn't get a Master's. I have never wished I had gone on and gotten my Master's. I have, however, wished I had taken a wider range of courses.
Now I read to get my education ... and if I see a class offered which I might like ... I might take it ... but my years of formal education are over ...
I've got a Bachelor's of Education. I'm happy where I am.
I had the opportunity to get an MBA while working full time...but I decided that I wasn't willing to sacrifice that much time and energy. It would be great to have one, but I have made up for it in life experience! (that's my story and i'm sticking to it!)
I achieved my Bachelors in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Telecommunications Engineering. Some of the mandatory courses of the curriculum were graduate level business courses. I have been told as well that I have done graduate level work in Engineering, but just don't have the paperwork to back it.
Of all types of engineers, EE's attain their MBA. I also bought a book to help take the Masters Requisite Exam. I fail to understand after I attain an engineering degree from an accredited program that I need to take a test to ascertain if I am Graduate material.
There is however one over arching fact of life I experience daily. I get dumber with each passing day, week, etc. I don't have the piss and vinegar I once had, and frankly just want to exercise, then reeellaax afer work.
If I did go back to school, it most likely would be a toss-up between Physics and Business.
I have a BSN and at the time I though it was enough but looking back I wish I had gone on because I would have liked to venture into other fields outside of nursing.
I do love learning and like Cin, I get my education now from reading, listening, TV, and the Internet.
Life is a Continuing Education Course.
I have my BBA in accounting with a few courses toward a MBA. Yes, I wish I had followed through and had gotten the MBA. I would like to be qualified to teach at the college level. I'd much rather teach someone else how to do this stuff than have to actually do it.
Masters Degree.
I don't really wish to go further. In fact, I even question the need for having got so far.
Education is overrated and misguided. Most people don't really go to learn anything. #1 reason is to get or maintain a good job. May seem like an obviously genunine motive, but there are differences to studying to learn and studying to get a job.
