Oh, that reminds me of October in Maine. A path to tranquility and happienss for me. The high road will take me on top of Mt Battie while the low road will lead me into Camden and the coast line. :)

The photo is lovely. It reminds me of the hardwood forests in which I walked in Europe. In those days I thought the forests were enchanted. Now I know they were.

It makes me want to put on my favorite sweat shirt and jeans and take a bike ride up that road!I see myself stopping at the end, having some warm coffee or Hot Chocolate and riding back.
As a kid growing up in an area that was very "woodsy" and not yet overly developed, there were a lot of roads like that and all of us neighborhood kids took "bike hikes" on these roads (some of them gravel!) We, of course, did not have the coffee or Hot Chocolate, but we did have lots of fun and great memories!
It also makes you realize what an awesome job God did! He must have had great fun!
I love photos like this ... of roads through the woods, curving just out of view ... they say ... "Follow me ... come visit the unknown ... try something new ..." They give me a positive feeling!
Fall in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee - what a great photo!
Makes me flle like hiking.
