I have, over the years, lost many pieces of clothing that have sentimental meaning.
I have no left clothing from my Army days, or my football playing days, or the many tee shirts I got for working security at many escellent concerts while in college (and after).
I WANT ALL THIS STUFF BACK!
More important than the clothes are all the photos I used to have from my past that I no longer have, and even worse, all the photos I should have taken but did not.
I am one of those people who rarely has a camera available, and invariably forget to take pictures even when I do have a camera.
One piece of clothing .... hmmmmm .... I really can't think of anything that I would still want to wear ... HOWEVER ... I had a pair of bell-bottom hip-huggers when I was a teenager, and I spent hours and hours embroidering all kinds of cool stuff all over the legs of them (very 70's) and I wish I knew where they went. There is no way I could fit into them ... but they would be fun to see again!
Well it isn't lost or gone, but there is one thing I would like to have back when my father passes and that is his Seminole Indian Jacket. It is a very colorful jacket that a renown Seminole Indian woman handmade for him when he was a boy. I got to wear it when I went on fishing trips with my dad when I was a kid. Lot of sentimental value as well as actual value.
Forget the clothes. I just want the body back that I lost somewhere.
Can I have the body that went into the beloved bell bottom, hip hugger jeans that I wore with my Indian gauze tunic tops and real leather platform clogs and suede jacket with fringe on the sleeves? Oh....those were the days...
I gave away all my Barbie Doll clothes and I could kick myself now because that stuff would be worth a pretty penny if my own daughter did not want to keep it to pass on.And this was back in the day when Barbie wore clthes that were more like Jackie O than J-Lo! LOL
That being said....although I am sentimental, it's all just stuff! And I am very happy with what I have now. In fact, I need to get rid of some of what I have now!
