I'm not a big sports fan, but were I to compete it would be an individual sport. 10 years ago it would have been golf. 20 would have been bowling.

I will take any world championship in any sport, but if you make me picck, I will pick golf - lots of money and a fun game.

This is a tough one for me ...

My main concern on a team would be that I would let the team down somehow ... but it would be great to share a winning season with teammates!

As an individual ... I would only have myself to count on, and/or to blame .... but once at the top you always have to deal with jealousy and people trying to take you down and it is hard to know who to trust.

I think being a part of a team would be best.

Sheeesh ... and I used to be such a loner!!

Hmmmm.....watching my son play baseball was always cool because of the team cohesiveness and if you were down, one of the other members could back you up. Now, watching him compete in Judo at the Pre-Olympic level, it's one on one. He may be part of the USA team, but he's the only one in the 60 kg division, fighting for that Gold Medal. It's tough! But the victory is so sweet! But that's him! I'm more of a whimp, I guess, so I would go for a team sport. Since I used to bowl, and liked it a lot, I suppose it would be Bowling. Besides, I don't think Frisbee has elevated to the level of World Classification, has it? (God Help us if it has! LOL)

I prefer 'Champion of an individual sport'. The sport would be Golf.

I look and observe the other sports that are prevalent on TV, i.e. Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, Car Racing. In all of these the "I" in "TEAM" has taken over.

Case in Point: ALOT of people thought that "Shak"? was the issue when the Los Angeles Lakers went to the Championship, however after the fact the coach had some interveys with Sports Illustrated in which he seemed to place the Lakers meltdown on Kobe who was going through his lawsuit.

When you play a team sport you run the risk of your personal life goals being dashed by the attention seeker/team malcontent.

Sports overall with rare exception has degenerated over the years into big time money influences in which the pressures placed on team, coach, owners etc has taken the competitive comradery out of Sports. Just look at the BALCO steriods use, and all the accusations of doping in every sport. Competitive egde is now competitive can you catch me?

Either would be nice, while the individual championship would be nice, there is a huge amount of gratification when a team succeeds and you have people to share the success with which makes it much sweeter.
