Q #62
If you walked out of your house one morning and saw a bird with a broken wing huddled in some nearby bushes, what would you do?

In all likelihood I would leave it alone. I do not know if this is something a vet could mend. Besides, predators need food too....
feed it to our cats.
Actually, I would guess that one of our cats broke the bird's wing, and is playing with her food.
I would take it to our Nature Center where they are set up to care for wild animals with injuries until they can be released again. We have done this in the past. Of course, they usually ask for a donation, but be an animal lover, I don't mind mind giving a donation for the good work they do.
Help the bird. Myself and one other person I know rescue all sorts of animals by taking them to a rescue center.
Well, if we lived closer to Hugh or RH, I would call them.....but since I'm not, I would feel sad, leave it be and possibly salvage some of the feathers for a co-worker who ties flies after death of-course.
I would call our local rescue center that cares for situations like this. We once rescued 6 baby squirrels, still in their nest. We had a wind storm and it had fallen out of a tree in our yard. They were so cute...and so frightened.
The rescue team were very glad we had called. We send a donation every year remembering the "wee 6-pak"!
