No. And yes, I eat meat. I am a member of PETA. Not the peta most people think of however. My PETA is "People Eating Tasty Animals"

(oh I'm so going to be in trouble for that one)

Point out the way to the sluaghter house. Can't be any worse than the automobile wrecks I've witnessed in the Greater Dallas-Ft. Worth area.

Oh my...the one day I have a chance to come in and answer the question and look at what I get. Thanks, Cin!

I encourage everyone to go to peta.org and watch the video "Meet your Meat". In fact, there are several videos that will make even the most adamant carnivore shiver. Even if you continue to eat meat, you'll think more about where it comes from. I am not in agreement with most of the bizarre tactics and opinions of PETA, but it does take radical thinking and action to make changes in the world.

I haven't eaten meat of any kind for over 5 years. I don't think there is anything wrong with meat-eating in theory and I love my carnivorous friends :) I firmly believe God gave us dominion over the animals to use them for nourishment. I do not, however, believe that he gave us that dominion so that we could abuse the animals and treat them as a commodity. I'm certain that he is appalled at what we've done with what we've been given. The pain and suffering happening at factory farms across the country is abominable. The demand is high, so the suppliers have found a way to make more at the expense of helpless creatures and the environment.

For all of you readers out there, try "Dominion" by Matthew Scully. Fantastic book that approaches meat consumption/production from a thinking-man's point of view instead of an emotional one. Maybe we can start a book club and this can be our first selection :)
I could go on forever, but I'll stop now. Have a great cruelty-free day!!!

Absolutely would. I have hunted, killed, and slaughtered anlimal in the past, so killing and butchering a tasty beef would be OK with me!

Yum!

uugh!! No and it would insure I wouldn't eat it!!

I do eat meat but could easily be a vegetarian.

I don't even like being in the same room with a side of beef. lol

LOL .... I am glad to see Pami logging on for this question ....

I grew up on a farm in Illinois and we always had a freezer full of meat which came from our steers. I never got involved, but Mom and Dad had to go to the local butcher shop and help with the whole process of turning a steer into little white packages of steaks and hamburgers and roasts.

Best Meat Ever ....
