If some natural disaster were to occur and cause your home and homes for blocks around you to be severly damaged .... for instance a big flood or a tornado or something similar .... what would your reaction be?

I wouild scream and run around waving my arms.
Sigh ... well ... while my husband freaks out, I'll be contacting the insurance company and finding an extended stay hotel to stay in.
I might take it as a sign to MOVE!

hmmm, I'm sure it would put things in perspective and remind me of all the daily things I take for granted. People cope with these things all the time and since I am a survivor, I would do the same. I always try to remember that all the worldly possessions around me are just that, possessions that may disappear at any moment in time.
I think I would (first) freeze in total shock, then get my kids to safety and make sure Jarrod was with us if not when it happened, then as soon as possible, because he always knows what to do. LOL

Shock. Then roll up my sleeves and start making lists.
Lists of to do's
Lists of things that would need replacing: meds, food, clothes, dog beds, george's football.....
Lists of people to call
Then I would probably take a minute or two to wallow become overwhelmed and shut down... And that is when my wonderful partner takes over and kick starts me again.
WELL---HAVING HAD TO DEAL WITH A SIMILIAR CRISIS SOME YEARS AGO, I DO BELIEVE I WOULD REMAIN COOL, CALM AND TAKE CHARGE OF THE IMPORTANT THINGS TO BE DONE IMMMEDIATELY!! BEING SURE MY FAMILY AND OUR NEEDED CARE WAS UNDER CONTROL I WOULD OF COURSE CHECK ON MY NEIGHBORS TO SEE IS I COULD BE OF HELP TO THEM...ONCE DONE I WOULD RETURN TO MY FAMILY AND PROCEED FROM THERE. BY DAY 3/4 I WOULD THEN FALL APART AND CRY OCEANS!!
