Question 01+08=09

Do you consider yourself to be an Optimist or a Pessimist overall? Are there any areas of your life where you feel the opposite from your overall optimistic or pessimistic nature?

Probably many times to my wife's chagrin, I am the eternal optimist. Even if I am down or depressed, I cannot stay in that state very long and will need to get moving or progressing in some way because of my optimistic nature. Even in the area of women and dating, where I didnt have a lot of confidence in myself, I was still optimistic and my positive nature was rewarded with the appearance of my lovely wife in my life.

Pessimist!

I'm pretty negative most of the time.

If any of you remember the television sitcom Coach, there is an episode where the character Luther talks about always expecting the worse so when it doesn't he can celebrate twice as much.... but if it does, he is never disappointed.

Now isn't that a depressing commentary? I'm going to eat some chocolate now....

I am a very optimistic person! Things are never as bad as they seem and there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

I tend to stray from that mindset only in reference to my husband's ex-wife. She IS as bad as she seems and I can't find the light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how hard I search :( Oh wait....Corey and Cassidy will be 18 in no time and we won't have to deal with their mother anymore! There, see...optimistic! :)

I am an optimist .... it is odd ... I do suffer from depression, yet I have always considered myself to be optimistic ... I wonder if that is atypical??

I am most defintely a Pessimist.

This has caused me not to be invited to all the 'upbeat' peoples parties througout my whole life. Not that anyone has their pulse on reality, I consider my self a realist, and not in the artistic sense.

I voted for McCain, HOWEVER the public has spoken and Obama has won the Presidential election. I SUPPORT him as our President, and am hopefull he will do a good job, cuz if he doesn't, we're all screwed worse than we are now.

In closing I would like to point out that Tom and I have talked about issues as far abck as 2005 that came to pass in 2008. But hey, we're just Plebians. Not the Aristocratic Intelligencia that reckon they know better than us how to ruin an economy.

I could wax on about it, but you wouldn't read it anyway.

Peace out and sweet dreams, it might be all that we have left!

Love - Hugh
