I want to see Valkyrie. I haven't read much about it, but frankly to look at a bust of Von Stauffenburg is a spitting image of Tom Cruise. I think this might be one of his best roles.

Ironically the german people have raved about the movie, calling it a serious work of history; but hey it's really popular in germany to identify with the resistance movement now that you won't get shot.

The movie has sort of an ironic twist with today. Claus Schenk Graf Von Stauffenburg was seriously injured in North Africa. Our youngest and finest are injured all over the world and our Veterans Administration systematically neglects, abuses and lets them flounder until death. That in my book is betrayal of the worst kind, and I'm pretty sure without seeing the movie that Von Stauffenburg felt the same way, such that he was motivated to try to stop Hitler.

I also want to see Gran Torino. I hope Clint Eatwood deals with the punks Dirty Harry Style.

Peace out and sweet dreams! Happy New Year!

We saw Marley and Me this past weekend. It was wonderful! No, it's not earth-shattering or life-altering like Valkyrie might be, but it's a great story about a great dog and about the difference animals make in our lives. Definitely worth seeing for anyone who loves animals and even those who don't (I'll never understand those people).

Twlight - not as good as the book and the actors did not look like they should have.... The vampires were not pretty enough to me, especially Edward. And Jacob was cast incorrectly....

I tend to steer clear of the very serious movies. I know they are educational and would help me be a more rounded person to know 'history', but life is stressful for me and a movie to me is something to enjoy and take a break from the stresses of life.

May even go see that silly cheerleader teen movie when it comes out....

We have not been to the movies lately, which is partly why I wanted to know what ya'll have seen and liked.

I'd like to see Marley and Me .... but afraid I will end up to total tears. I am glad to see Pami liked it because she is a dog lover!

I don't think I'll see Twilight ... I like the books too much and Robbie agrees with Pat's review of the movie ... so I can pass on that.

Gran Torino does sound interesting .... also Doubt ....

The best movies unfortunately are not yet out.

The new Star Trek film, Angels & Demons and Harry Potter - Half-Blood Prince.
