Being beaten by my parents. I now won't let anyone, and I don't care who you are, beat me.

It also made me the anal overachiever and introverted science type that I am.

As to whether me being an introverted science type has made me a stronger person is debatable. Debate amongst yourselves.

My college girlfriend, who was in exactly the same cirriculum and classes as myself; dumped me for a fellow student and friend - has also made me a stronger person in some aspects, but deeply wounded to this day in other areas.

At this time I can't think of anything else. I'm sure I can come up with some by superbowl Sunday!

Peace out - Hugh

Living!!! Sometimes it is the most difficult experience.

But, I would have to say the computer project I worked on in 1997 - 1999 that was the catalyst of much growth and eventual divorce... Divorce from a controlling mean spirited husband, divorce from a life, divorce from a path that I should not have taken.

During the project, I gained self confidence and found a inner strength...Odd to say that WORK set me free and helped me find my self, but it did. It was also very gratifying work and introduced me to many new friends that I now cherish. Friends, that are peers and not alcoholics or jerks.

Life is good now!

Hmmmmmm .... my 2nd divorce was probably the biggest lesson teacher for me ....

Twice married .... twice a cheated on .... twice a failure .... obviously I was making VERY POOR CHOICES and for all the wrong reasons.

Plus I had a really great son who deserved to be loved and protected.

I spent a lot of time analyzing myself and trying to be really smart about the next person I would share my whole life with .... I did much better this time ....
