GUMDROP .... you are in a better place, my friend!

I never actually met you ... but I will miss you very much. I am so proud of your determination to use the computer at your age ... and your willingness to try new things and to reach out to people via emails and the BLOG!

I know you touched my life and the lives of many of my friends with your answers to the QoftheD!! Everyone was waiting to hear your answers this week ... sigh ....

Isn't if funny how you affected us? I never met you! I guess I went to school with your children, but I didn't know them. Yet I always looked forward to reading your answers to my BLOG ... and I know you looked forward to receiving the QoftheD each weekday morning after your trip to the coffeeshop.

You chirstened us the "Future Members of AA" for our Friday gatherings at BJ's ... and tonight Bronco and I and maybe a few others will lift glass to you! And I KNOW you will finally get to SEE us and be with us!! And hopefully watch over us!!

You are at last able to breath well again ... and able to hug your son whom you have missed for 30 years .... you bones don't ache ... and you are with your Lord JC!

I am Happy for Gumdrop ... but sad for us!

Was saddened to hear of your passing but will always remember that we shared a love of railroads and model trains which makes us both a part of a worldwide fraternity. That said, I am quite sure there is a great model railroad where you are now. Enjoy and God Bless.

I was so saddened to receive the email from his sister Pat last night. Gumdrop and I had corresponding daily since his Birthday. I made a separate "Gumdrop File" on my desktop for his all of jokes and all of our back and forth email attempts to have his emails go out with the pictures actually IN them! LOL He called me "Kate" which I found to be quite endearing. Along with his many jokes, he sent many emails with beautiful photography of landscapes and gorgeous vistas and many emails that that were inspiring and just made you think.

Among the last few I had received, he inquired about son's progress during his European Judo Tour. That just blew me away, that he was interested and remembered. He was sharp as a tack.

And although he always "put on" a cranky veneer in here, he was as soft and sweet as his Screen Name suggests.

He was very proud of his daughter and his 2 grandsons. Pat said his computer was so important to him and enabled him to make so many friends through it.

I will miss my friend Gumdrop and his Daily emails that made me smile, laugh, gasp at the beauty or just think. I will even miss the emails that we got frustrated over the computer and "Brother Willy". And I will miss the emails that we just chatted about family and life. I will miss Allen (Gumdrop) Brady.

I hope Heaven is ready! LOL

Gumdrop, my friend, I will miss you but I know you are in a better place and hopefully, you will find out the mysteries to the computers! LOL You will be with your loved ones who have gone before you and your knee won't hurt and you can breathe easier my friend. Save me a place...OK?

CinCin....thank You for having this Blog and giving me the opportunity to have chatted with some wonderful people! I love You!

You all are Special! Take Care and God Bless!

Gumdrop, you cantankerous, crusty old fart! You had odd political ideas, but you it was a joy to see your answers every day.

And now you had yto go and leave all the rest of us to try to make sense of this wierd world we live in.

You can now lift a glass with all who havegone before you, and we will lift a glass to you.

See you in the future, you old reprobate!

Gumdrop will definitely be missed. Although we may not have seen eye to eye politically, he was a very interesting person.
