Question #582

What would you consider to be the perfect temperature and weather for your ideal location?

Do you want four real seasons or something else?

If you were Mother Nature .... how would you do things?

I want 4 seasons, as follows:

Summer - never over 90 during the day, lows in the 60's at night. Rain at least once a week.

Fall - start in mid september, highs in the 780's, lows in the low 50's, rain at least once a week.

Winter - start in mid December, temperatures in the mid 40's to 50's, lows in the mid 20's. Occasionally lower temps for snow storms. Snows 5-10 times per winter for 2-3 days at a time, about 12-24 inches each time (maybe more a couple of times).

Spring - start in later March, rains at least 2 times weekly, highs in the 70's, lows in the 50s.

With the exception of the precipitation, I am describing the weather in the front range of Colorado. It is drier there than I would call ideal.

I have to agree with rant on this one...thanks for doing all the typing work for me, I couldn't have said it better :)

I crave 4 seasons and get a little spent on Texas weather. Maryland is very much as you described with a bit more rain/snow. Chris and I plan to retire somewhere along the east coast so we can enjoy what Mother Nature intended!

I'm happy with Texas weather. I can't say I would have done much different THIS YEAR!

I want 3 seasons instead of 4. I'll skip Summer and extend Spring and Fall.

Perfect temperature is between 60 and 80, light breeze and big white puffy clouds. A clear "Maine" day as PEF calls it.

Oh I wouldn't want to be Mother Nature because I know not having "Hotter than Hades" and "Colder than a well diggers butt in Montana" locations would wreck havok on the whole world

Eliminate Winter altoghether (except for 1 snowfall on Christmas) and I can handle the rest. I cannot tolerate cold and dark, short days.
