Question #585

Have you decorated your home for Christmas yet? How much decorating do you plan to do and when do you plan to have it done? Inside? Outside?

How much do your neighbors do?

Okay is this "Question of the Day" or "20 Questions of the Day"? :-)

We plan to go minimal this year on decoration. We are going to put up our vintage aluminum christmas tree and some interior decorations. Probably will not do anything more outside than a wreath.

Some of our neighbors already have their stuff up, but most don't yet.

we have not yet decorated - will do both inside & outside (probably more outside than in)

Our next door neighbor goes hog wild with his lights and other crap - his can probably be seen from outer space

I have not decorated my house and do not plan to decorate. Cleaning it is enough. The neighbors house could be used as a beacon for Love Field or DFW.

Haven't decorated yet but I did find our stockings without hyperventilating! LOL Will decorate without becoming "garish". Hope to get the lights up this weekend (including our special "Christmas Story" lights with the Leg Lamp! LOL). Some of our neighbors do it up real big and others are just tasteful. Some of the homes are on The Historical Tour so they stay within the confines of such and it looks nice:live wreaths, bows, holly berries, candles in the windows, etc.

We are still recovering our home from Thanksgiving! I don't know why, but I'm just not into the Christmas spirit as yet. I don't really even want to put up a tree this year much less outside stuff.

Our neighbors are mostly bah hum bugs too.

Is there a Christmas Elf out there like Cupid that will shoot me out of this funk?

We'll decorate our 2 bay windows that face the front of the house and hang the fresh wreath on our entry gate. I've ordered a table tree fron LLBean that we'll put on out dining table and use my mini- angels to decorate. Since we won't be entertaining on Christmas this year we decided to keep it simple.
So far none of our neighbors have decked out their homes--but gotta feeling all this will change this weekend!

Huey, I'm with you. I'll clean some (with Caroline's help!), but not much on the decorating thing. Might get a small rosemary bush trimed in the tree shape, but that's it.

Say it with me Huey, Bah Humbug!

Hey, I'd be glad to be equated with Gumdrop!

New cat equals no real tree this year. Instead a small fake one on top of a dresser which he has still managed to take down.

We had a little ones in town for Thanksgiving so Santa came early for them. I put a few things out that I thought would be cat proff but I think there is no thing as cat proof with a 6 month old kitten and 2 old cats that egg him on.

At least it is entertaining.

Outside.. heck no. Can you see Doug on the ladder hanging lights ?
