It was great! We stayed home and watched the Macy's Parade on TV. We ate the usual Turkey, stuffing, Sweet Potatoes, Green Beans (just paired it down for 3 people). No... I would have enjoyed one more day. It was nice having my daughter and hubby home! Did you enjoy your Holiday Cin?

We ate traditional food. I made green bean casserole for the first time. My gma made potato-cheese-casserole....mmmmmmm. We ate and ate and ate. We stayed at my parents almost all day and helped her put up Christmas decorations. Cole was in a bad mood.

We went to Atlanta (drove) to my brother's house. Left Tuesday, got there Wed. Had the good ole traditional meal on Thursday with 2 of my three brothers. Watched footballl, etc.

On Friday, the men (with sons and one daughter) went to a skeet/trap range to shoot at poor helpless clay pigeons - we left them shattered, mostly when they hit the ground untouched.

Drove home on Saturday - 800 miles with most of that (about 550 miles) in the rain and heavy traffic.

What fun.

Patr and I had a wonderful holiday - plenty of good food of course and my father, one of my sisters, her husband and kids along with my in laws. We had Thanksgiving Dinner at my inlaws and had a great time. Loved having the whole week off and watching the Broncos and Florida State lose and my Raiders and Gators win! Wahooooooooo!

The whole week was great. See PEF for what we did. Other things we did: 6th Floor Museum, Dallas World Aquarium, ICE at the Gaylord Texan, Uncle Julio's, Model Train Layout Tour, Texas Civil War Museum and laughed until we hurt. Daphne, Laurel and I also made some of the cinnamon christmas ornaments. A good time was had by all.

And no, I'm not at work today and from reviewing some e-mails, I'm not going to be happy to go back tomorrow.

Thanksgiving was great, Had ALOT of Cajun food and turkey. Saw many, many friends. It was SO refreshing to go too Louisiana. I drove town on Thanksgiving afternoon in the only good weather the whole trip and the ole' town has grown SO MUCH since March 2007.There are new buildings on the university campus, and at the research park there is a building that changes colors like a Christmas color wheel. Whole new neighborhoods popping up overnight. In short people getting older and alot of new construction. The drive to Louisiana and back to Dallas was entirely in the rain and cold. Unlike Rant Master - It Was Not fun!

I had a quiet week. We ate with friends and had a lot of food. Got up early Friday and went to SAn Antonio to see my father who is in physical rehab after surgery. Drive down was great! Even with cloudy weather the drive down 281 was gorgeous. Had a good visit with parentals. Drove home Saturday in the cold and rain...6 1/2 hours! No, no, no fun.

Our holiday was very good .... 3 of the 4 Mackinnon brothers and their families gathered in Atlanta. The Atlanta Mack's had put an addition on their home ... and it was really nice to have all that space to hang out in.

Everyone seemed to get along well, which was nice! There was plenty to eat, lots to drink, and football on TV.

Tom did ALL the driving ... and the return trip was a bit rough with traffic and weather ... I am very grateful he was willing to drive and did the home trip in one day.
