I know that there are a couple of Jazz feat in the area. One is in Denton. The other is in Argyle. I have not been to the one in Argyle but would like to. I'm sure it would be a good place to do some people watching.
I know we will go to Scarborough Faire at least once .... anyone want to go with us?
I'd also like to go to one of the Fests in Ft. Worth and just enjoy a day in Ft. Worth ... around Sundance Square.
Grapevine also has some lovely fests ....
I think our best kept secret in the DFW metroplex is Dallas Blooms. I am always amazed at the number of folks who have lived here all their lives and have never been. Highly recommend this one. Take a picnic lunch or just go and have lunch a favorite Dallas eatery like PATR and I do. Dallas Blooms is always late March, early April at the Dallas Arboretum on Garland Road south of 635 on the east side of White Rock Lake. The color gardens are a sight to behold, lots of varieties of azaleas, tulips, daffodils, irises, etc. and ornamental trees like red buds, dogwoods, camelias...
Charge your camera up and go. They have concerts on the grounds, food on site as well.
Oh and buy a family membership the first time you go - its cheaper and you can take others to see it and save money.
Oh the Wildflowers in the Hill Country is a great get away for the spring. Dallas Blooms is a must too.
Hoping to do the Scarborough Faire with y'all. Also heard of one near Tyler. I also want to make some of the ones in Ft. Worth too.
