We do not have Tivo nor a DVR .... Tom watches TV at night and I work at night. Neither of us watches TV during the day.

Even if we had Tivo or DVR, I don't know when we would watch the things we record.

Tom is watching a lot of the Discovery Channel and TLC and Science and History and all those channels ....

Do you watch much TV in the evenings?? YES!

What shows do you enjoy watching lately? Dancing with the Stars is a MUST. I also like the CSI shows on CBS. And the food network is the default station if nothing else is on.

TiVo in the living room, it is full of PEF's Dogfight shows... and a DVR in the bedroom for all of my shows. I record the CSI shows since PEF is not a fan. And America's Test Kitchen on Saturday.

I rarely watch live TV, but I do record a few things. Many of them, I never get around to watching though! I love The Biggest Loser, The Office and My Name is Earl. I also record a million different things from Animal Planet and Discovery and watch them as time allows (which is lately turning into "never")!

I do watch tv, but mostly I use the DVR and watch after I get home from stuff. Since last Wednesday, I haven't seen my house in the evening except to go to bed! I guess Sunday I'll catch up and clear the memory.

While convalescing away from home I watched ALOT of Direct TV, which I still consider superior to Dish.

Like Tom, it was mostly TLC, Science, Discovery, Military. There is also "HDNET" which shows exclusively programs in the best HD, even when the same low-def program is on say Discovery, etc. I LEARNED a WHOLE LOT while watching the tube while convalescing. I also found a channel which showed computers and operating systems. With a VISTA Ultimate Home Edition 64 Bit OS loaded, I learned ALOT about how touse this OS to it's potential.

Alas I returned home on March 25th to low-def rabbit ear TV. I HAD NO PROBLEMS adjusting in that I watch 2 and a half men, CSI Las Vegas, Simpsons, and mostly PBS when there is something interesting.

Just this week was Jean-Michel Cousteau exploring the Hawaiian island far end chain which was breath taking in that very few humans have seen these islands. The above water and below water shots were spectacular. It was in HD, however even with low-def rabbit ears I can see the quality of the images on my TV.

Now I'll be back to reading, meditating, etc; which is my normal activities when I'm home. I INTENTIONALLY do not have cable/satellite as I would be addicted to TV. Given that in the daytime even Satellite TV is pretty poor and leaves you wanting for programming.
