I STILL have my tonsils! Believe me, I rue the day my parents asked if I could get better without surgery, and the dumb doc said, "Sure." Right now I'm trying to get over a cold, and it seems to have settled in my tonsils. No pain, just the discomfort of having them swolen and being really tired.
I still have my tonsils and have never had any problems with them or other related parts :)
I do not have my tonsils they were FORCEPTLY removed when I was 10.
Nope .... they left me when I was really young. I think is was standard procedure at the time. I remember having them in a jar for the longest time! Yucko!! LOL.
Robbie has tonsilitis ... and a couple of his friends have recently had tonsilectomies ... so I just wondered about you guys!!
I ahd my tonsils out when I was 7 years old. Prior to that my brother and I had too spend the entire Summer inddors because the Pediatrician did not want us to get overheated. Finally he signed off on a tonsilectomy.
We both had our tonsils out at the same time. We were over 'gassed' and were out for much, much longer than we should have been. Good thing I remeber becasue it came in handy to tell the anesthesiologist when I ahd my recent knee surgery. It saved my life!
Wherever my tonsild were does not bother me. I do however suffer from allergies and head colds at this point in my life more than I think is normal.
Again I apologize for my spelling, I just type fast and move on!
I suffer with colds quite often, so I always wonder if it would have helped to have them out.
To date, (knock on wood) I have not gone under the knife for anything other than a small biopsy for hives. Now, I did go under the 'laser' for eyes, but no real knife.
