If you had to choose between something illegal but morally correct or immoral but legal, which would you pick? Why?

I would have to consider the ramifications and circumstances so I can not pick either for all instances.

And is it immoral to society or immoral to myself? I would compromise societies morality before I would my own probably.

For instance: The majority of society sadly still frowns on gay marriage. I believe differently and that gay couples should have the same legal coverage as anyone else. i.e. distribution of property upon death, health care benefits, ownership of property..... Is supporting this idea immoral in the eyes of society, yes. But I frown on society in this instance. Call me a liberal on this one topic….

I've been on a soap box quite a bit this week... Patr - HAPPY FRIDAY!

that is a tough question for a Friday...i agree with Patr it would depend upon the ramifications. It would also depend upon if I was passionate about the illegal act. I may be willing to give it all up in the face of what is right.

The author of yourquestionoftheday.blogspot.com has written an excellent article. You have made your point and there is not much to argue about. It is like the following universal truth that you can not argue with: Anything described as the ‘feel-good movie of the year’, is crap Thanks for the info.
