If you had to choose between something illegal but morally correct or immoral but legal, which would you pick? Why?

I would have to consider the ramifications and circumstances so I can not pick either for all instances.
And is it immoral to society or immoral to myself? I would compromise societies morality before I would my own probably.
For instance: The majority of society sadly still frowns on gay marriage. I believe differently and that gay couples should have the same legal coverage as anyone else. i.e. distribution of property upon death, health care benefits, ownership of property..... Is supporting this idea immoral in the eyes of society, yes. But I frown on society in this instance. Call me a liberal on this one topic….

that is a tough question for a Friday...i agree with Patr it would depend upon the ramifications. It would also depend upon if I was passionate about the illegal act. I may be willing to give it all up in the face of what is right.
