Question #527

From "The Book of Questions" by Gregory Stock, PH.D

Q #59

Imagine that by controlling medical research funds, you are in a position to guarantee that a cure will be found in 15 years for any disease you choose. Unfortunately, no progress on any others would be made during that period. Would you target one disease?

Yes, ALL FORMS OF CANCER. Then I would use the same singular control to tackle the next diseases.

Yes. Viral Infections which have been shown to cause Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, enlarged heart and a whole host of other conditions that shorten the life of the human body. We need viruses to survive, however a viral infection is entirely different matter.

Yes - I would concentrate on finding something to cure viral diseases. Currently, we have no cure for anything caused by a virus.

Speaking of diseases, here is an interesting site called the World Clock.

Yes! Viral Infections or cancer. I would have a hard time picking on or the other, since I believe we will eventually find out cancer is triggered by a viral infection.

Viruses seem to be the choice of the day! My BIL is a Research Biologist/Pharmacologist and he, in fact, has found a link between viruses and cancer and Zinc! So, take your Zinc everyone and help your immune sytem!

I'd go for viruses, too .... especially that pesky virus which they have linked to obesity ...

No. Money cannot control creativity, and that's what it takes to find those cures. I would just give more all the way around
