But----Of Course !!!! I love being around men. I love MEN and enjoy their company greatly.

BUT, I also love my female friends.

I do have to say that DH is my closest and dearest friend in the whole wide world.

My next closest friends are female. I think I can vent, cry or laugh with another female and she understand my problems, fears, sorrow, elation and all emotions much clearer than a male would. We have all been there - done that - so we know.

Women just stick together. LOL
We know each other very well.

You will never never know me"

I really have no specific preference. It sort of depends on the situation.

While I was growing up I always prefered the company of males. It seemed to me that females were just too silly or they were always jealous and petty ... even mean.

Now ... I have found my best male companion and married him ... and I find I actually enjoy the company of women .... but still not the silly, petty, mean ones.

I think that now I would be uncomfortable hanging around a bunch of males, unless my husband is part of the group .... then it is all good!!

Most of my pals have traditionally been men. Basically there has been a thread of humor that formed these relationships, and they like the same things as me: sports (except football) and power tools. As I've grown older (whaaaa), I've met and appreciate women more. At age 49, I've got women as friends. We talk on the phone, we shop (egads), we share, we socialize. I'm soooooooooo greatful for these relationships.

Depends on the person. I have friends from either "side". I enjoy the company of my men and my women friends, each for their own unique attributes.

I love my hubby, he is great, but he doen't think like a woman (thank God).

Men - we have the same genetic code and hormones all things being equal. I don't have to read a man's mind since if he wants you to know something, he'll say it.

Women are complex as compared to men. Always having to guess what is on their mind while they try to lead us/you around like a camel with a brass ring in your nose. In as far as most women; We men are suppossed to notice this, and that, and frankly we don't care, or it isn't on our radar. How should I know if you got 1 inch cut off your already long hair. What do I think of your ear rings, well given that I don't wear any what am I supposed to say let alone care about that.

Women want to be lied too to save their own feelings. Men just blurt it out and leave it up to the recipient to sort it out for themselves.

This has to be the biggest dichotomy between the two. Two fundamentally different ways of doing the same thing.

But in the long run does it really matter. I believe Sir Francis Bacon , you know a 'world in a flower' said "If all men went totally insane they might half-way agree"

So if were all nuts and half way coherent according to one of the greatest philisoph's, what the hell difference does it make about the man/woman thing. Afterall I have it on good authority we're all nuts anyway, so how are we supposed too, or going to relate to each other? Thats the crux of this question.

Besides the art of conversation has been lost with all the distractions we have today. Just flick on the tube and zone out, who needs to talk, we'll just let the talking heads be our friends, and invite the women over to watch the tube with us where well tune in a program where they'll say it for us men, saving us the hot air!

Most of my friends are men and I spend more time with men than women. I have no idea why.
