I think that life has to be balanced. Right now, I have lots to balance: my marriage, my kids, my career, my economy. Sometimes I feel as though I'm pulled in 40 different directions, but balance is my main goal. I'd like recognition because I'm a damn good teacher. I do get recognition because I try to be a good wife--I appreciate that so much.

Mostly, it's balance, and trying to be a good person.

I think my motivation in life is mostly love. With love in my heart I have security, excitement and am able to accomplish most anything I try.Knowledge is an important facet also....but power for its own sake is not in the equation...
As a loving person I can continue to learn and grow, which automatically empowers me...

I think I strive for security. I want to feel safe. I want to know my future is secure. It sounds kind of selfish, I guess.

When it was me and Robbie against the world .... living paycheck to paycheck .... I wanted to make sure he was safe and secure. I didn't want to have to worry from one day to the next if we could pay all the bills.

I am feeling much more secure these days .... and that makes me happy.

I strive for Love & Security for my family, excitement in daily life for me, and constant addition to my vast store of knowledge.

Something else...I strive for eternal life. I also strive to share how to achieve that with as many people as will choose it as well. There is only one thing I must do to acheive that, everything else necessary has already been done by Jesus Christ. The one thing is receive His gift of salvation. After that, the love, security, etc. are basically taken care of from an eternal as well as temporal perspective according to God's will.

In the Bible Jesus says Do Not Worry (Matthew 6:25-34)
25 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
28 "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I am not striving for anything right now in my life.

I am happy with the love, peace and contentment and, of course, security in my life that I have at this time.

Does this say, "OLD AGE" ?????
