Why?

It kinda depends on what the something is!! If it is something illegal, I'll pass.

However .... I've never been to Australia ... or numerous other destinations ... and I would love to go.

I do tend to stick with the familiar, though ... and I am nervous about new things at times ... I am not driven by constantly needing new and challenging experiences, but I'll try a new restaurant, taste a new beer, stuff like that!!

It's FRIDAY!!

Ummmmmmmmm

I think it depends on what the "something" is.

Some of the risky things such as Sky Diving, diving the Great Barrier Reef, driving a race car in the Indy 500, mushing in the Alaksa wilderness, etc. have decreased their appeal to me as I grow older.

The appeal of traveling world wide has increased since I retired and just waiting for DH to get ready. Hurry Baby!!!!

Again, it depends. I have an adventurous soul, but there are some things I will not do. Travel, yes. Sports, if I can. Exploring, sure. I do have my limits. Nothing that could really harm or maime me--two broken ankles, dislocated knees and hips, and a broken collar bone, kind of limit me.

Lately, I've been trying out new physical activities...since gracefulness is not one of my God-given gifts, it's a little intimidating to put yourself out there for fear of embarrassment or failure! For instance, I had visions of flipping over the handlebars in spin class (which would have been incredibly entertaining), because I wasn't certain I could cycle for 45 minutes. But as I get older and more comfortable in my own skin, I am more willing to undertake new endeavors even if I don't know I can do it. I think the appeal for me is finding out just what I can accomplishment.

I'm ready to go to Australia anytime now...too bad Rob is way too old for a nanny...

btw...I did last all 45 minutes in my first ever spin class...without falling off the bike! =)

It totally depends on what the "something" is. I know this sort of defeats the purpose of the question, but while doing something different does really appeal to me, ending up dead or permanantly injured does not! LOL

It really doesn't make any difference to me either way. It's whether it's something I wanna do that appeals to me not whether I've already done it or not.

I am usually willing to try something new, as long as it is not illiegal or bad for my health. Anything I have done in the past that was illegal and/or bad for me does not count.
