Question #230

What is your favorite magazine to read? Does it come to your home weekly or monthly? Or do you buy it at the store?

Why is it your fave?

Sports Illustrated - comes weekly.

Why my favorite? Duh!

Discover Magazine - comes monthly. The latest bleeding edge advancements in science are contained in that magazine.

Do I have to choose just one?
If so: Real Simple: monthly: it has all kinds of crafts, tips for making tasks I hate easier and good recipes
Others
Food, Living, Cooks Country - I am about 6 months behind on reading though.

GAVE UP ON MAGAZINES 20 OR 30 YEARS
AGO. THEY GOT TO BE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME THING MONTH AFTER MONTH
PLUS THEY TIC ME OFF ALWAYS SENDING NOTICES FOR RENEWAL, ONE CAMERA MAG HAD ME PAID UP 2 YEARS AHEAD. THE CAMERA FIELD CHANGED
COMPLETELY FROM HOME DEVELOP/PRINT,
BLACK/WHITE TO COMPUTERIZED STUFF,
THAT WAS TOO COMPLICATED AND TOO EXPENSIVE. IT BECAME CHEAPER AND
BETTER TO LET THE DRUG STORE SEND
THEM IN, BESIDES THAT I WAS GETTING TO OLD TO SAY IT WAS FUN ANYMORE.
MY FAVE.......WHATEVER THAT BE, MUST BE SOME THING COVERED IN CIN
'S E-MAIL LAST WEEK WITH THE TURTLE
LAYING ON ITS BACK WITH ALL 4 FEET
STICKING UP IN THE AIR, SUPPOSEDLY
TEXAS STYLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.
IS THERE ANYONE ELSE IN THE BLOG
THAT LIKES TO TRADE JOKES 'EN STUFF
E-MAIL???? WHEN YOU SEND YOUR E-ADDRESS SPECIFY IF YOU WANT THE WROANCHES [SIC] TO STAY IN IOWA.

Texas Monthly. I like the views about Texas, and how we affect the rest of the known world. How do people get along out there who aren't Texan?

Need to renew.

I really like Reader's Digest ... it comes once a month and sadly, I am about 2 months behind in reading it ...

I LOVE Discover Magazine ... the one Hugh reads ... but I never had time to read it. Amazing articles on the cutting edge of science.

Narrow Gauge and Shortline Gazette. It is a periodical about? You guessed it. TRAINS! Specifically modeling narrow gauge or shortline trains, great historical articles as well as loads of how-to articles on modeling projects. Wish it was a monthly but it comes every other month. Probably why I savor it even more. As soon as it arrives or the Model Railroader magazine, my wife will tell you she becomes a NGSLG or Model Railroader widow.
