a dog and a cat - then a bird to give the cat something to strive for.
FYI - we have 4 cats and a new puppy, plus a couple of fish.
why do you stick to land animals, why not aquatic? O>K>, If on land I would want to be my dog Gina, since I know how well she is taken care of and loved. My preference is a Dolphin, bigger playground and lotd os food all around for the taking.
Oh, this is easy.
Of course, a bird. A beautiful free bird so I could soar the big blue sky and visit all the beautiful places on this earth.
No worries, flying place to place. Eating and sleeping when ever - where ever I wish in the very best tree.
Sounds like heaven to me.
I would not only want to be a dog. I would want to be MY dog. Spoiled little beggar.
After a lifetime of doggie pets and the last 8 years of owning cats, I'd be one of my cats: well fed, little required, loved on demand, prime sleeping areas, people to entertain me, exercise sporatically...

Definitely my husbands dog!!!!
Hmmmmm .... choosing from the 3 I would have to say CAT. Especially a domesticated house cat who has a loving family.
That would be the life.
