I do read the comics - I like Opus (by Berkeley Breathed - used to be Bloom County) and Dilbert best.

Many of the comic strips are getting very political lately, which I do not appreciate. If they want to make political statements, get on the editorial page - the comics section is no place for political commentary - this section is for laughter and enjoyment.

No I don't read the paper at all. I've not gotten into the habit of reading the paper. If I do come across the Comics, my favorite is/was Charlie Brown

I seldom read the comics except at the beginning of the school year and at the end. I look for strips to add to my school collection. Math always takes hits at this time of year. I am usually too busy doing the NY Times crossword and other puzzles.

I love the comics. I read Peanuts and Mutts daily, on-line however. Snoopy is my all time favorite character, but Mooch & Earl from Mutts are right up there too.

I haven't read the comics in a long time. I used to like the Farside, Kathy, etc. But I would mostly hit the crossword puzzles.

My all time favorite is probably Calvin and Hobbes .... I was so sad to see them go away!

I am also a fan of Far Side and Bloom County ... two other strips which their creators stopped creating ....

I do try to look at OPUS on Sunday's ... it is a spin-off of Bloom County.

I don't really read the comics out of the paper. However, my wife sends them to me electronically. Peanuts is my favorite.

I'll answer this and then go read what everyone says.

ahhhh, the great pleasure of heading to a coffee shop or restaurant after Mass, finding a secluded corner and hunkering down with my paper and saving the comics for last. Unfortunately, I find many of the comics lacking. Some are cruel, some of trying so hard to be hip they fall flat and others are just plain stupid. Leave the politics and the social commentary out of the kids comics, ok? That's what op-ed is for. These are for kids. I want snoopy back, I want Nancy back, I want Prince Valient (hush CinCin), I want innocence for our children in one little colorful section of the paper.
